Modern society has largely integrated demi-humans into its institutions. Legal frameworks exist in the form of regulations, justified as necessary oversight, though the line between protection and caution born of unfamiliarity is often blurred.

Demi-human Representation is now common across media, politics, and academia. Yet visibility does not guarantee acceptance. Stereotypes persist and prejudice has not disappeared.

This is not a world at war with demi-humans, but one that watches them closely, insisting that coexistence is an ongoing process.

Core Principle

Demi-humans are not "animals made human". They are parallel hominin offshoot that borrowed traits from animals but were always socially, biologically, and reproductively closer to humans than to animals.

They can also be thought of as Humans with a deep evolutionary echo of the natural world. Animals remain animals. Demi-humans are something else.

Demi-humans are recognized as legally human persons despite their biological distinctions.

The Global Demi-human Council (GDHC) is an international government body created to address transnational demi-human issues that arose from cross-border migration, asylum disputes, and incidents that existing international laws could not handle.

However, while the GDHC sets international standards and norms, individual nations retain sovereignty over how demi-humans are legally treated within their borders (provided that they comply with the geneva accord).

In The United States

The Demi-human Regulation Board (DHRB) is a U.S. federal body that develops standards for integrating demi-humans into public systems and institutions. It operates on a federal-state structure to establish national standards while allowing state level implementation.

Specialized branches, like the Athletics Division (DHRB-AD) and Office of Specialized Risk Assessment (DHRB-OSRA), Oversees and handles demi-humans in professional sports and high risk occupations respectively.
